{Sept. 28}
How has SEVEN months gone by so fast?
Time is even more warped when you have children.
But they are getting chubbier and cuter by the day, so I guess I can't complain.
Seven months is a whole lot of fun!
IAN
Ian is such a happy boy. He nearly always has a smile on his face.
He is a very tactile child.
When we took pictures, he had to touch all of his surroundings.
Ian enjoys food but still loves a bottle and nursing.
He is a very content baby and even if he's overdue for a nap, he'll stay pretty happy.
He loves being in the swing.
Ian is really good at scooting backwards, which has gotten him into a couple of predicaments such as stuck under the bed like this. He hasn't quite figured out how to crawl forward yet. He does lots of rocking on his hands and knees and can lunge forward but he's not quite deliberate in his movements yet.
Ian loves straps or anything like unto a strap such as tassels, strings, tags, etc.
He is a goof!
Always keeps us laughing and he also laughs very easily.
He likes to suck his thumb around whatever else is in his mouth, such as his blanket, shirt sleeve, tags, a spoon, etc.
Ian almost always wakes up happy and smiley. He is so happy to see me, kicks his legs and melts my heart.
He still drools, spits, buzzes his lips, and spits up a lot.
We are looking forward to the day when the puking ends.
He loves drinking through the straw on his water bottle.
He is chub-a-dubby!
He and Briggs don't even look like the same age here!
BRIGHAM
Briggs has been making the funniest faces lately!
We are constantly cracking up at his changing faces.
We LOVE this scrunched nose face he does. It's been hard to capture but he does it several times a day and we love it more each time.
Briggs loves solid food.
He still takes a bottle well but he has pretty much decided he's done nursing.
He'll nurse easily at about 5am when he wakes up for a snack and usually again around 8am, but after that it's a battle to get him to nurse. He just prefers a bottle.
He also likes to suck his thumb around things in his mouth.
Briggs is a wiggle worm. He somehow wriggles right out the top of his clothes!
I'm worried he's going to be very independent and strong willed.
He does not like to be held on my hip, he'd prefer to face outward, he lunges towards anything he wants regardless of how I'm holding him, and if he wants something, he moves to get it with his half crawling, half lunging movement.
He (and Ian) rubs his eyes when he's tired which we think is cute.
Even though he seems pretty strong willed, he is still a sweet little thing and pretty easy going.
Seriously, what baby keeps on pipe cleaner glasses?
He loves tags, tassels, and strings as well.
Briggs absolutely loves Ian. He always wants to touch him, look at him, laugh with him, and eat him.
Or I like to think he's giving him kisses.
{One day I caught the two of them giving each other kisses. It was adorable}
He is a very oral and likes to have his hands and everything else in his mouth.
He still loves to read stories, sing songs, and play with toys that make noise.
Briggs also loves drinking from a straw and is not crazy about sharing the bottle with Ian.
Both boys love sleeping on their bellies, squeal a high pitched awful scream when they are happy or sad, and have been on 8 flights. They have eaten rice cereal, green beans, peas, and carrots because they have a slacker of a mom who forgets to give them new foods every four days. That's about to change though.
They are still wearing size three diapers, 6-12mo clothes, and I think size two shoes. Maybe one of these days they'll start wearing shoes again. We go through a container of formula about every 10 days.
They really listen when you read to them, they like the jumper and swing, I don't let them watch much tv so when they see something it's mesmerizing for them, and we think they are perfect!
Have I mentioned that Briggs loves Ian? And makes adorable faces? And that Ian is such a happy smiley baby?
Those glasses on Briggs really make me laugh out loud. I love how they talked back and forth to each other when in their low chairs! They will never get bored. And we will never tire of their entertainment. We love you!
