Rearranged bedroom

I rearranged our bedroom last night. I cleaned and cleaned and de-junked and vacuumed but it still needed something else, so I moved all the furniture. And instead of boring you by telling you what it looks like, I drew a picture.

And so you can appreciate how awesome it looks now. Here is the before picture.

And since you can't read what is written on there, the brown boxes are just that, still packed boxes from the move, the colorful pile represents random junk sprawled across our room, and the other things are miscellaneous articles of clothing that frequently find their way to our floor.

Listen to that voice when it tells you to get a fork.

I hate when I do dumb things/have bad things happen to me.

Today I forgot a fork. It doesn't seem like that big of deal. There should be forks in the drawer in the break room. But of course there's not. Just a drawer full of knives And I brought spaghetti.

How do you eat spaghetti with a knife when you wore a white shirt?

VERY carefully. And you hope no one walks in the front door to watch you attempt it!

My sweet hubby is sick.

Which makes for no fun in the Rich household. I'm pretty sure this is the most sick either of us has been since we've been married and it makes me feel bad. Poor Jesse.

Also on the not so great side, our house has been SO hot lately! Thank goodness for A/C because by the time we get home, this is what our thermostat reads:
We are trying to support our local economy though. We have some very determined children who live on our street. Not only do they set up a lemonade stand, but they come to you. We have now had a couple of kids see us drive up and they will come knock on our door, list off their drinks, and bring your beverage of choice to you. Not too bad of service for 25 cents.

I do have a feeling that they know who the suckers of the neighborhood are and won't be surprised to see them come back.

Elder Brad Dorius has been called to serve...

Of course when Brad gets his mission call I have to be home alone with no one to party with. Here is my excited anticipatory face.Waiting for the phone call.....

FINALLY my phone rings.

And Elder Brad Dorius has been called to serve in....

The Korea, Seoul Mission! He reports to the MTC on November 17th. And ironically enough, one of his good friends is going to the same mission on the same day. How awesome is that?

My mom didn't believe him when he read it and thought he was playing a joke on them since his friend Mike JUST got his call there last week. But no joke mom. It's the truth.

He (and Mike who is red haired and as white as they come) are going to stick out like a sore thumb. Or as Lauren texted me: "He'll add a whole foot to the national average height!"

He could not be more excited! And neither could we! He's going to make one awesome missionary.

I'M KIND OF DYING WITH EXCITEMENT RIGHT NOW!

My Mom just called. And she sounded EXCITED!

My little brother's mission call for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is sitting in their mailbox!

I can hardly contain my excitement. I can't even imagine how he feels.... Except I don't think he knows it yet!!! He has been checking faithfully every day now with no success. But today is the big day.

And I believe they are all out at the lake right now. I can hardly wait to hear where he's going! He's opening it tonight. I don't know if I can wait that long.... WAHOO!!!

My little BIG brother came to visit us for a few days (6/21-6/23 to be exact). It was a blast having him up. We went bowling.....

And to Nickel City.....

And when you win lots of tickets you get.....
Awesome prizes!
Like a money necklace... so you can be gansta
Then the rest of my family came up Wednesday night and on Thursday (the 24th) we went to the 2nd happiest place on earth.... Lagoon! Unfortunately Jesse couldn't make it because of work, but we had quite a bit of fun even without him there.

(that's not just some random kid who popped into our picture. That's our cousin Trevin. Believe it or not, he's just 6 months older than Kadin and Kylie.)

Quite possibly the best picture of the day! haha

The next day we headed up to a condo in Wolfcreek, just past Ogden. We played lots of tennis, video games, card games, and laughed a lot!

Snug as a bug in a rug

My brother's crack me up, but it's nearly impossible to get a good picture with both of them!

Tuesday we came back down to Provo and went to Seven Peaks. We clearly had too much fun since these are the only pictures we took. Me and Brad being awesome and going down the huge slides.
We then got to keep my sister for the rest of the week (6/30-7/4) We partied.... probably a little too hard.
We went bowling......
And to Nickel City..... (deja vu?)

And we had my niece stay the night with us one night since her and Kylie are just like 8 months apart.

We did the royal treatment of facials, hair, nails, foot massages, and then painted some masterpieces.

We then got all festive for the 4th of July!

My sister-in-law Joanna made these cute headbands. I swear she can make anything. You can check out more of her fun creations here

Then my brothers came back up on Friday (7/2) to pick of Kylie and play with us for the weekend! It started out with haircuts.

Then it was back of to Nickel City- YES AGAIN! We have too much fun there. We played laser tag and then won tickets until our hearts were almost content.

And if you win A LOT of tickets, then you can get even cooler prizes.....

Such as a chicken hat. We know you're jealous!

And mustaches.... bahahaha!
Here we have Mario and Luigi

Then it was time for our fireworks. We mostly had _______ vs bottle competitions. The bottle head up pretty well, but was defeated in the end.
It was so fun to have my siblings in town. And about the minute they drove away, I missed them! Our house seemed so empty.

Thanks for coming guys! We love you!
