Blessing Day

Back on June 25th, our sweet Alba was given a name and a blessing by her dad.

Our angel baby slept through her blessing surrounded by these wonderful men.

She was blessed to be an example and light to the people around her.
To bring others to Christ.
To be steadfast in her testimony.
To bring joy to the people around her.
And to forever know that she is a chosen and beloved daughter of God.

We of course think she's the perfect addition to our family and feel so lucky that she's ours.

We felt blessed to have so many of our family there to celebrate with us and love on our baby. She is lucky to have so many people who love her.

Briggs loved riding on Grant's shoulders and told me he was a giraffe.

Alba is a fan of Aunt Taryn.

Before I was able to take all the pictures I wanted to remember the day, Alba had the biggest blow out I've ever seen. It was such a sad moment. I pushed back the tears, took pictures of us as a family, and her with my mom to at least have those memories, and then vowed I'd figure out a way to clean her dress and take more pictures.

Somehow while I was documenting the poop, she also puked all over herself. It was a bit of a rough day.

Lucky for her, we still completely adore her.

This is what the post party group looked like.
We had a some busy days of preparation leading up to her big day with shopping, cleaning, picture hanging, and crepe making.

 We even found some time for some game playing at the end of the day.
It really was the most perfect day.

And after some intense scrubbing, I was able to salvage her dress and take some more pictures.
This girl is lucky to call this man her daddy.

She was a barefoot babe. I saw no reason to put shoes over those cute toes.

Thanks for coming to our family baby girl! We are all completely smitten with you.

St. George

We went down to St. George when Alba was itty bitty to celebrate my little brother and sister who graduated from high school and then we stayed for a couple of weeks while Jesse did a work trip. It was so fun to spend time down there and enjoy the sunshine and family.
{I didn't even take a picture of the graduates, probably because I skipped out on graduation since my baby was all of two weeks old and watched it on YouTube instead. Which by the way is the only way to watch a graduation.}

{Ian thought he should be in my belly and Alba should be in his belly.}

{Ian wanted to feed Alba. He put on the cover and was convinced that she was being fed while she was under there.}

Dreamy little baby. This picture also cracks me up because she took this binky for a minute and hasn't taken a binky again.

{Briggs loves snuggling this sweet babe.}

{This baby loves being outside.}

{We went on a hike. The boys love grandma's hikes and Alba was loving the carrier.}

{They chased lizards the entire hike. Ian caught one at one point but it got away.}

We followed up our hike with a giant corndog

and snow cone.

{We also managed to find a dead lizard we named Bernie. And yes I'm a gross mom who let my kids bring home a dead lizard to play with. Luckily we lost him soon after.}

{We also found this tiny little praying mantis that was the cutest thing ever.}

{These two are so cute together. They just snuggle up on the couch and watch shows together.}

{We also squeezed in eye appointments with Uncle Mike. He was so patient with these busy boys of ours.}

{We played outside every day and loved the water.}

{These balloons are the greatest invention ever.}

{Ian wanted to try on my "long dress" and told me he was getting married too.
This kid is a crack up.}

{Alba met her great grandmother while we were there.}

{We went to a trampoline park with friends. The boys had a great time.}

{This is the best picture I could get of the three boys.}

{Snow cones might be my favorite summer thing.
Ian and I really pull off blue mouths.}

{More water fun.}

{They did some crafts. Or more accurately Briggs talked Carter into painting his alligator for him.}

{Grandma got some good snuggles in.}

{I took the boys to the Temple and they were pretty disappointed that they couldn't get in.}

{Grandma's bushes grow giant snakes "aka vacuum hoses."}

{And in between all of our fun activities, we stared at this cute little thing and basked in all her smiles!}
