While the love of my life turned 31 in Tulsa, Oklahoma today, my sweet little loves and I had a delightful day together back here at home.
We started the morning with Ian requesting a tail.
Fortunately I remembered these fabulous little handmade scarves we had, which conveniently double as great tails.
They also spent a good portion of the morning in the wagon. Ian preferred to be pushed while Briggs was content to do the pushing. Briggs was even great at tucking in Ian's tail to ensure it would not get ran over.
Ian was pretty adamant that he was a "fiaken (monkey) in a tree" and wanted to climb everything.
He requested my help even to climb up my bedroom door.
And then bath time was a hit with these new critters my mom purchased a few weeks ago. The boys have not stopped playing with them since we got them.

Their OCD mother helped with this lineup.
Jesse already informed me that if I give our children OCD, I have to deal with their quirks.
And then we snuggled on the bed and watched a show.
Obviously there's no lack of snuggle space. I think I'll postpone buying a King size bed for now.
Then they snuggled some more.
And since it was Jesse's birthday, I had taken the day off just in the off chance we happened to be in the same state together, but since he wasn't, I invited my brother and sister in law over to help decorate for Christmas.
We had to move this tree to the basement to make room for our Christmas tree and Ian really wanted to help. It was adorable.
For some reason we had the hardest time getting all the lights to work on this tree. We could not find two plugs for the life of us, until we finally found an extra cord with those two plugs that didn't seem to exist. I kept wondering how many people it took to get the lights to turn on with a pre-lit tree!
Apparently at least three. And 30 minutes of looking and brain power.
This is how we kept the boys entertained.
Until they discovered the bird ornaments. Then they had to play with those for the longest time.
And voila. Just like that, it looks like Christmas!
This one is still a work in progress. Hopefully I'll actually get it done before Christmas!

And then more snuggling with my boys.
Sorry we didn't get to spend your birthday with you sweetheart, but at least we had a good day.
