11 months!

Wow.. We've been married for 11 months, today! That's almost a YEAR! Time sure does fly by! I'm so grateful for my sweet husband! Life has been an adventure since we got married and I can hardly wait to continue on our journey towards eternity. As far as life goes... we're still just schooling and working! We're just keeping busy and enjoying life!

Running Streak?!

Well I'm feel pretty proud of myself. I've turned back into a runner.... well sort of. I talked Jesse into going for a jog with me on Saturday because it was beautiful (honestly how can you pass that up?!) and I went by myself Monday after my classes, and again today! I feel so awesome! Reckon it's not incredibly far and definitely not fast, but it's something! I was inspired by the show Biggest Loser because they ran a half marathon in the last episode. I told Jesse that we should do that, he told me I should probably start with a 5K. He's probably right....

Of Most Curious Workmanship...

We had a ward party last night! It consisted of a dinner, a quick spiritual presentation, and a cake decorating contest. Jesse and I being the type to not plan ahead too far, picked a creative cake that would be easy! And this is what we came up with! (Thank you Google!) We threw it in the oven at 4:25pm (our activity was supposed to start at 5pm), took it out, didn't worry about cooling it, dug out the center, frosted it, threw some coco puffs in the middle and made it to the activity by about 5:20pm (We thought that was pretty good... considering!)

We were pretty proud of our cake and hoped that other people would see the humor it in as well! Well when the awards section of the night began, we graciously accepted the "Of Most Curious Workmanship" or "Most Unusual" Award! It doesn't get much better than that! Here are a few other cakes from our ward that we thought were pretty awesome!

BYU Football Game

Penguin Nesting Ground (how funny is that?!)
Awesome Turtle!
Dirt and Worms! A classic! I especially love the flowers!
The Provo Temple, before the remodel!
This cake was supposed to be a basketball court, but apparently the lack of PAM made it fall in half when they tried to take it out... so they just left it!Here's a close up of the note that goes with that cake! haha
Good times were had by all! And here's our cake now:

YUM YUM...

Como say what?!

Jesse and I got some family names from my aunt and decided to go to the Temple yesterday. I was so excited because we had just gotten these names and my aunt is so awesome with her genealogy work, I felt accomplished to even contribute. So we head over to the Temple and go to sit down to wait for our session to start.

In the waiting room, there is a group of people for an English session and a group for a Spanish session and Jesse asked me if I would like to go to a Spanish session- and I'm thinking, "Are you crazy!? I don't speak Spanish!" I told him he could do it sometime but for now I'm sticking with English. Well right after we had been talking about this, one of the sisters working in the Temple walked up to us and asked if we speak Spanish! Jesse said he did but that I don't. She then proceeded to ask if we would be willing to do the Spanish session! The whole time I'm in panic mode thinking "I have barely got things figured out a little bit in English, let alone throwing a Spanish twist in there!" She then informed me that I could wear headphones which calmed my nerves a bit.

So it was an experience to say the least! Jesse loved it and I thought it was interesting with my headphones keeping me in the loop! Luckily I was sitting next to a girl in the same boat I was in, so we bonded! But boy the adventures never stop!

Prospective Juror Registration?!

Ok I think this is hilarious... I got a "Dear Prospective Juror" letter today! Which means I have to send in my information and I could be summoned for Jury Duty between April 1 and June 30. How funny is that?! Apparently my mom is prone to receiving Jury Duty letters, and it's looking as though I take after her. I'm not quite sure how I got so lucky but boy did I have a good laugh. We'll see if I'm still laughing if I actually get summoned!

Scum anyone?!

We had a two couples over Saturday night for games and we had a blast! The Betteridges and the Hansens are four of our favorite people and we had a rousing game of scum going till too late but boy it was fun! Probably one of our favorite moments was when Amberly kept telling her husband Anthony that they needed to go home to prepare their Primary lesson since it was Daylight Savings, and Anthony kept telling her that they would plan it in the hour they lost. He was going to find it and use it to plan! Haha! I thought that was such a priceless comment!

Here are the pictures of the night! Good times! This was the King hat.... obviously! And just to brag a bit... I was in the Vice Scum position for one round where I moved up to KING and was there till they dethroned me to Queen the very last round! Oh good times.

I'm happy to announce....

That I can fit my hair into a bun again! It was pretty exciting to discover that this morning! These are not the most attractive nor best of pictures but I thought I could illustrate a little bit what I went from to what I went to, and now my cute little bun!

The hair that would always fit into a bun...
Fairly soon after the chop... my hair that could barely fit into a ponytail.... buns were completely out of the question.

And here we are today! With a BUN! So fun!

Danielle won the bet!

I told Jesse it was supposed to snow and he didn't believe me. Therefore he bet me a backrub that it was NOT going to snow. Unfortunately for him it DID snow! I'm not crazy about the snow, but if a skiff is what it takes to get a backrub, I'll take it! Here's the picture to prove it.

Also, I'm not sure what it is about little critters liking our house... but it's getting old. Just a few days ago I caught a big ugly spider and then a couple days later I found this beaut in our bathroom! And of course I'm the one who is awake first and so I get to be the lucky one to catch them! GROSS!!!
