Things that make me happy.

I was just thinking about some things that make me happy and I thought I would share a few:

The Temple. The St. George Temple is stunning, but all Temples make me happy!Hanging out with my husband
The fact that we're married! It still catches me off guard sometimes! We love being married!
My wedding ring. I think it is gorgeous!
My sweet husband. He is amazing! And quite handsome.
Vacations! Especially Cancun... I love that place.
Candlelit macaroni and cheese dinners
These cookies. They are amazing!
My awesome friends. They are stellar girls and I love them.
My family. They are just so much fun!
The lake. Wakeboarding and tube wars are particularly spectacular.
Fireworks! How can you not smile when you see fireworks?

Flowers. There are so many beautiful flowers out there! These are the roses that Jesse proposed with.
The beach. No explanation necessary.

05/28/09

Today I had a First. I was pulled over today. Seeming as how I have never been pulled over, I was a little upset. Luckily I just got a warning, but it still was not the best start to my day.

On a happier note. Today marks the 2 year anniversary of when Jesse and I first met! Good ol' EFY days! We got in our counselor group of 4 and Jesse was smitten from the beginning. I thought he was cute and by the end of the week... we had our first date!

These were my two Natalie's and they gave us The "Natwich"

Quotes of the Day

Well it's only 1:15pm and I've said or heard some great things today!

It started this morning when I was telling Jesse that I need a plain brown skirt just like my brown polka dotted one. It's got an elastic band waist for comfort and it's made out of a stretchy comfortable material that makes it good for spinning. (That was a big deal for me as a child and is still a bonus) I then proceeded to tell Jesse that it's the perfect material because it shows off my "swishy" parts. I'm not exactly sure what "swishy parts" are, but that's apparently what this skirt accentuates!

The next occurred when I was talking to my mother. She was in the grocery store buying tomatoes and lettuce for my brother's seminary council get-together and apparently got a frustrating cart. I would hear random things as we were talking such as, "This cart really has troubles" "If this cart was a person, it would be called senile" "Now it's jumping" "I have to pull it from the front because it doesn't go where I want it to go and the tomatoes and lettuce don't weigh enough to make it go straight." "I'm just wondering aimlessly around the store" Then at the end of her grocery shopping experience I heard "Now I hope my tomatoes weren't squished by the lettuce after all that!" Oh the joy that conversation gave me.

And the third star moment was during this same conversation with my mom. We were talking about facebook and she told me, "I talked on two people's walls today." haha. That made me chuckle as well! She's trying to get the hang of facebook, and her "talking on people's walls" is a big accomplishment!

I'll add more as/if I hear them!

A late Happy Mother's Day

I know I'm a little late but my mom is so great that I couldn't just skip telling everyone how wonderful she is! She really is one of my best friends. We are so much alike that it's kind of scary, but we sure enjoy doing things together.

My mom has always been there for me. Here's a few things as to why my mom is great:

--She would stay up late with me in High School to help me get all my assignment done
--All my "cute" clothes were picked out by her
--She rearranges my front room to make it look 100x better
--She does the funniest things that make me laugh
--She loves Kohl's as much as I do
--She emails me fun smilies at work
--She pretty much planned my entire wedding... and it turned out perfectly
--Everyone who knows her loves her- I hear about how cool my mom is all the time
--We have the same glasses... unknowingly I got the exact same ones
--She tolerates my calls several times a day
--She seems to know everything! She can fix anything and cook anything. I call her all the time for answers to my questions and somehow she just knows it all
--She sent me a HUGE bouquet of flowers for my birthday
--She joined in on the festivities when we were all trying to see how high we can jump in her kitchen
--She sang to me every morning when she would come wake me up- still does when we come to visit
--Doesn't give us practical gifts :)
--And most of all, she is a fantastic mom! I hope I can live up to her standard when I'm a mom someday. She is so patient, kind, loving, hard working, and fun.

I love you mom! Thanks for all you do!

Happy Birthday to Danielle!

Well yesterday I turned 21. I'm not sure why, but that seems a lot older than 20. I suppose we all have to grow up eventually...

It was a great day though. Jesse woke up early with me and cooked me some french toast (YUM) then I got to go to work. My thoughtful parents sent me a HUGE bouquet of flowers, so that made my cubicle a little brighter. I took off straight from work to catch my 5:10pm class and made it home in just enough time to catch Biggest Loser! It was a busy but good day.

The highlight was probably when I tipped over the filing cabinet at work though.... How embarrassing! Those things do not fall quietly!

What more could you want? Gorgeous flowers, some sparkling cider, and a volleyball!
This looks like plastic, I promise they're real and this does not do it justice. It is so beautiful!
This was the top off of the night. Delicious!

Anniversary Weekend

Thursday, our first day in St. George, we got to go to the Hersey's track meet to watch my little brother and sister, and somehow got to manage the long jump with my mom so that was fun, but our poor white Provo skin was not ready for sunny St. George that's for sure!

Then on Friday we started off our weekend by going to Cedar and riding horses of one of Jesse's mission companions. It didn't turn out quite as we expected due to some miscommunication but we still had fun just roaming around the yard.

This horse LOVED to eat! It was so funny. She'd walk in a circle because you made her and then she would walk over to the grass and start chomping away. I thought it was pretty funny. So to say the least we took a few laps and then sat around while she ate.

Then it was off to Vegas! Stayed in the lovely Circus Circus!
This is apparently the largest chocolate fountain. Found in the Bellagio Hotel
Those are escalators! How rad is that?! I was so impressed that they curved.... but I am also very easily entertained
We got to see the variety show called The V. It was pretty awesome not going to lie. This was right before we walked in where there was no camera use allowed.

Just like going out of the country!

Until you see something like this! I didn't know there was a Ross right on the strip! haha!

My sexy husband! Isn't he cute!?
And this totally looks like a pineapple to me

And what's an anniversary without a year old anniversary cake?! Looks delicious right?! haha

Here's Jesse's thoughts of the cake...
I thought that was a little over the top. I didn't think it was THAT bad, and in fact had a second bite.

My dad even jumped in for the festivities and tried a bite.
It was such a nice break to say the least. We got away from school and life for several days and we had a blast! Now we're back to the grind with a Spring semester of school and more work!
