I can't believe.....

I'm still awake! That may sound strange to some but I have been awake since 4:30am (for clinical) and I slept horribly (I was up about every hour) and miraculously I didn't take a nap and I'm still awake.... at 10:45pm (not sure why our computer says 9:45. I'll have to have my amazing, talented, gorgeous, generous, intelligent, charismatic, and altogether cool husband fix that). I'm not entirely sure how that's even possible but here I am. Just thought I'd share.

STOMP! and Valentine's Day

For Christmas I got us tickets to STOMP! I knew Jesse was going to love it since he did percussion through high school so I was super excited to give these to him. It was torturous to keep that secret in until Christmas.

And it was AMAZING! If you ever get a chance to see these guys in action you will love it. The show was hilarious, loud, incredible, fun, lively, and there was talent just dripping off these guys. I was blown away at what sounds they could make out of regular items you see every day.

Valentine's Day was also a treat.

Unfortunately my other half had to work Saturday night so it was a bit on the lonely side but we had a delightful Sunday together.

It was a tad humorous though because neither of us got the other romantic things!
Jesse surprised me with Roller Coaster Tycoon (which was my favorite game as a kid), a 1 hour massage (ok that is the romantic part), and cute little homemade flowers.

I got my sweetheart a transformers lunchbox and a dvd of the pixar shorts.
He was elated.

(I told my mom over Christmas that he like's pretty much anything a 10 yr old would like and this is living proof.)
We are so in love.

Each day I find more and more things I love about my sweet husband and feel so blessed that he chose to spend eternity with ME. I couldn't ask for a more loving, caring, doting, sweet, funny person to enjoy this journey with.

I am so lucky.

Let's just say I'm not the most fashion-conscious person you've ever met.

Despite popular belief....

I am extremely not domestic. Pretty much in any way, shape, or form.

I cook way less than my hubby, barely do dishes, hardly ever do laundry, and the one thing I actually do is clean and that doesn't even get done most days of the week.

This is our Christmas tree that is still up in our messy house.

But alas, hubby taught me how to sew on a button!
Exhibit C:
I was born to an amazing sewer yet never had the desire, patience, or need to learn, so I didn't. But now that I've sewn my button back on I'm ready to conquer the world one button at a time!

I'm also getting pretty antsy to start making things, even though I'm not super crafty and still don't know how to sew... I will learn, hopefully soon. And it will be amazing.

Catch up much?

It'll probably take several posts to entirely catch up, but Jesse put the Christmas pictures on the laptop so I figured I could at least share those! We went to St. George Christmas Eve and spend a wonderful few days with the Dorius family.

We played lots of scum!

Took lots of naps.

And played with these amazing nerf guns. It was incredibly fun. Highly recommend nerf guns to people of all ages if you want a good time.

Then for New Years we went up to Salt Lake for the traditional extended Dorius family get-together. We had a gift exchange where Jesse and I scored! Me with my hug mugs.....

And Jesse with his Hickory Farm fancy-schmancy cheese, sausage, and cracker set.
We also partied New Years Day with Jesse's family at Noah's. Had a blast but didn't take any pictures! Oops.

This was also the weekend the car broke down. UGH. SO GLAD that's back up and running now.

Well now I'm being summoned.... I shall continue hopefully soon!

My lunch.

Unfortunatley due to time constraints I couldn't complete a post about my lunch in yesterday's post. So here it goes..... My sweet husband packed my lunch yesterday. My first clue that it was going to be amazing should have been when hubby asked if I could keep it all in the grocery bag.... but I didn't think about it and told him to just throw it all in my backpack.

Well part way through my second class I was getting hungry so I reach for a yogurt. On the way to the yogurt however I ran into a bag covered in writing. I pulled it out to find one cute swedish fish in the bag and a message that said: Swedish fish are terrible conversationalist but they're GREAT listeners. Here's one to listen to you. I laughed. And showed my friend how awesome my husband is.

(And I've gotta be honest. I brought that one swedish fish with me to work today. I can't hardly eat him when I know he's a good listener...)

Then I pulled out my yogurt and found written on the spoon: Roger the Spoon. I laughed harder.

By the time I get to my third class I can hardly wait to see what else is in the bag. I soon found written all over my sandwich bag: I love ya baby.... muah muah muah muah MUAH.

Then I pulled out my napkin which read: Return this napkin for a massage.



I love my husband.

Quick Post

Just thought I would share with our 3 fans between a class break real quick that we will soon have internet at our house! Yes we're finally joining the real world and getting internet. It has been too long without it and we're going crazy! So with that being said there's no guarantee there will be more posts but hopefully slightly more often than never.

In other thoughts, I just thought I would take you through our day today. We currently only have one car while the other is spending some time in the shop. We're about to go CRAZY without it. It's been rough. For example:

5:05am- Danielle rolls out of bed and jumps in the shower
5:15am- Jesse rolls out of bed and being the sweet husband that he is, made us lunches
6:15am- We are out the door to hopefully drop Danielle off at school and then Jesse can head to work.
6:20am- School building is locked. New game plan is produced.
6:22am- Back on the freeway to drive Jesse up to So. Jordan to go to work.
6:45am- Danielle drives back to campus.
7:30am- Danielle is able to get into the building and waits for class to start.
8am-1:30pm- Danielle sits in class. Luckily we got out a tad early because her sanity was going downhill fast.
1:45pm- Danielle drops off Americorps paperwork and heads back up to So. Jordan to pick up Jesse where he has been working all day.
3:10pm- Jesse drops Danielle back off at school and he runs errands
3:45pm- Danielle writes this blog post
3:49pm- Danielle gets a text from her dad saying the car is ready! This makes Danielle's day SO much better! Now just to find the time to pick it up.
4:00pm- Danielle will start class
6:00pm- Jesse will come back to pick Danielle up
We're so looking forward to going home where Jesse will give Danielle a massage because she has HUGE knots in her neck due to stress and then early to bed.
