Friday night clinicals really mess me up.

Last night I went to the hospital for my clinical at 6pm.

I left the floor at 2am and had post conference until 2:30am.

Being tired all day, I was just hoping that I wouldn't drop dead asleep before post conference and that I could make it through, but at 1:45am I got my second wind.

I went to Macey's at 2:45am to pick up essential things like milk, bread, paper towels, and Halloween candy.

When I arrived home at 3am, Jesse surprisingly wasn't completely comatose, so I told him all about my night.

By about 3:30 I was settling into bed and trying to fall asleep.

I didn't wake up until almost Noon and was fairly useless all day.

And then I felt exhausted again tonight by 8pm, and napped until 9pm.

Ugh. I just wish I could stay awake long enough to get something done today. These night clinicals are killing me!

The Circus!

We went to the circus on Saturday and it was awesome! I bet we loved it at least as much as all the little kids there, if not more! :)

And then to top it off, we got cheese pull aparts at The Pie. It doesn't get much better than that.

Epic Fail.

Literally.



I took my first pathophysiology test today.

I was shooting for a 70% after hearing someone scored a 60%.

Hoping against hope that I would do awesome, I walked into the testing center.

I walked out with a 60. And ironically enough I wasn't completely devastated.

The highest I've heard of is a 67.

Now I'm just hoping everyone else failed as epically as we did.

There has to be a curve when everyone scores in the 60s....... Right?!?!



On the upside--- We are going to the CIRCUS tomorrow and we are SO EXCITED! We're such kids, but it keeps things fun!

Don't catch sour watermelons in your mouth.

This is what happens.

Who knew that sour watermelons could ripped up your lip? I sure didn't. I was under the impression they would be easier to throw up and catch in my mouth and less likely to bounce off my teeth and hurt. But no. Lesson learned.

Labor Day Weekend

For Labor Day I invited my mom to come play with me. I didn't know if she'd be able to since she does have 3 busy kids at home, but she decided to come! She said, "If your daughter asks you to come play with her, you should go! Even if she's 22." I think she should write an advice book. :) Thanks mom! I love you!

It was such a fun weekend filled with lots and lots of sewing and crafts, several movies, and late nights. Since most everyone I know right now seems to be pregnant, it was mostly baby things that we created and they turned out so cute! I am especially proud of my animals. I just decided to draw up various dinosaurs and other animals and they somehow go from my drawing into something so cute!
I'm rather in love with them.

Here are the outcome of our weekend projects. Some were made on a previous sewing day, but most were made over the weekend. What is truly amazing to me is that before August, I had no idea how to sew. I couldn't string the machine, had no idea what all the buttons meant, and there was no way I could sew a straight line. Obviously I have come pretty far in just a few short sewing adventure days with my awesome mom!

This was our other project we worked on. Jesse brought home this hideous cork board and we decided it had lots of potential, because let's be honest, it couldn't get any worse.

I spray painted it.

Trimmed it down around the edges

Added some ribbon, and Ta-Da! A whole new board that even turned out cute enough to go on our wall! Only cost us about $5!

It was loads of fun! I could totally get into re-doing things and sewing everything. Now I've just got to get my degree so I can make enough money to support my new-found hobbies!

Weekend with the Croshaws

While Jesse's sister and her husband took a fun vacation to New York, we watched their kids for a day. They are hilarious! I didn't pull out the camera near enough, and most of the pictures are dominated by Drew, but that's ok because he's cute!

The cowlick that rivals Jesse's. It's darling on him though! I just feel bad for his future wife who has to learn how to cut his hair. Cowlicks are hard!

Gotta love bath pictures. Kids seem to have a whole new personality when you get them naked and stick them in water. He's normally really mellow, but he definitely loves his baths!

We had lots of fun hanging out with their kids. There are 5 of them so obviously pictures didn't cover everyone, but fun times were had by all.

Annie Get Your Gun

A few weeks ago the Rich girls went and saw Annie Get Your Gun. We had lots of fun but I only took pictures of my cute niece Jane, who ironically did NOT want to be photographed. Oh well. I still got some darn cute pictures of her from the back!
She was wearing an umbrella hat the whole time before the play started, and probably for awhile throughout. She's a crack up.

Finally my sister-in-law asked if she could take Jane's picture and she said, "Ok, I'll even do a smiling one." haha. Kids are awesome!

Speaking of kids..... Prayers do come true. Jesse has been praying ever since we left our Wymount Ward that we would be called back into the Nursery, and his prayer finally was answered. We are the newest nursery leaders in our ward! Go us! Church is more fun when there are fruit snacks, toys, and songs with actions.
