I'm tired already.

I'm realizing that with just 2 more weeks until school starts I still have a lot to do. It's amazing how even when you're not quite in school yet, it still controls your life. Here is my current list of to-dos before school:

- Buy school supplies
- Order textbooks
- Do the quizzes assigned before clinicals start
- Do reading assignments for the first day of class
- Get a new parking pass
- Choose which class I'm taking (I can't decide between a Monday nursing elective and a Wednesday night humanities class because clearly both sound thrilling.)
- Get new clinical shoes
- Finish last 10 hours of volunteering

Those are just my school to-dos. Then I also have my other misc. to-dos. Such as:

- Unload and reload dishwasher & clean kitchen
- Tackle huge mountain of laundry
- Find desk amongst papers and junk in spare room
- De-junk spare room and make it look presentable
- Organize closet
- Plan fun "last hurrah before school" date with Hubby
- Learn how to sew (nothing fancy. Maybe knowing how to turn on the machine would be good enough)
- Start/Finish summer crafty projects that Jesse and I talked about doing but haven't yet done
- Update blog

There's just too much to do. Why can't there be just one more month of summer?

Rearranged bedroom

I rearranged our bedroom last night. I cleaned and cleaned and de-junked and vacuumed but it still needed something else, so I moved all the furniture. And instead of boring you by telling you what it looks like, I drew a picture.

And so you can appreciate how awesome it looks now. Here is the before picture.

And since you can't read what is written on there, the brown boxes are just that, still packed boxes from the move, the colorful pile represents random junk sprawled across our room, and the other things are miscellaneous articles of clothing that frequently find their way to our floor.

Listen to that voice when it tells you to get a fork.

I hate when I do dumb things/have bad things happen to me.

Today I forgot a fork. It doesn't seem like that big of deal. There should be forks in the drawer in the break room. But of course there's not. Just a drawer full of knives And I brought spaghetti.

How do you eat spaghetti with a knife when you wore a white shirt?

VERY carefully. And you hope no one walks in the front door to watch you attempt it!

My sweet hubby is sick.

Which makes for no fun in the Rich household. I'm pretty sure this is the most sick either of us has been since we've been married and it makes me feel bad. Poor Jesse.

Also on the not so great side, our house has been SO hot lately! Thank goodness for A/C because by the time we get home, this is what our thermostat reads:
We are trying to support our local economy though. We have some very determined children who live on our street. Not only do they set up a lemonade stand, but they come to you. We have now had a couple of kids see us drive up and they will come knock on our door, list off their drinks, and bring your beverage of choice to you. Not too bad of service for 25 cents.

I do have a feeling that they know who the suckers of the neighborhood are and won't be surprised to see them come back.

Elder Brad Dorius has been called to serve...

Of course when Brad gets his mission call I have to be home alone with no one to party with. Here is my excited anticipatory face.Waiting for the phone call.....

FINALLY my phone rings.

And Elder Brad Dorius has been called to serve in....

The Korea, Seoul Mission! He reports to the MTC on November 17th. And ironically enough, one of his good friends is going to the same mission on the same day. How awesome is that?

My mom didn't believe him when he read it and thought he was playing a joke on them since his friend Mike JUST got his call there last week. But no joke mom. It's the truth.

He (and Mike who is red haired and as white as they come) are going to stick out like a sore thumb. Or as Lauren texted me: "He'll add a whole foot to the national average height!"

He could not be more excited! And neither could we! He's going to make one awesome missionary.

I'M KIND OF DYING WITH EXCITEMENT RIGHT NOW!

My Mom just called. And she sounded EXCITED!

My little brother's mission call for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is sitting in their mailbox!

I can hardly contain my excitement. I can't even imagine how he feels.... Except I don't think he knows it yet!!! He has been checking faithfully every day now with no success. But today is the big day.

And I believe they are all out at the lake right now. I can hardly wait to hear where he's going! He's opening it tonight. I don't know if I can wait that long.... WAHOO!!!
