Our Love Story!

Well I've decided that since we started our blog about a year late, I figured I should probably catch up on our time together. Here's where our lives began! EFY. (We highly recommend EFYing to find your eternal companion! Worked for us!) We were co-counselors the first week of EFY 2007 and Jesse was smitten from the beginning-it took me a couple more days but pretty soon I caught on. He asked me out for that weekend and all the rest is history!

After a long summer of EFYing, we went to DISNEYLAND with a bunch of EFY counselors! What a blast! It was here under the firework show that Jesse and I had our first kiss! Awww!

We got engaged on Dec. 15, 2007. Jesse did an excellent job of combining random and romantic into one awesome engagement. I was sent on a scavenger hunt where at each pit stop I was welcomed by a ninja. Once I got to the final place, I found Jesse and he was standing there all cute in his suit holding a sign that said "What I wanted to say is..." and then another said "To me you are perfect" He then got down on one knee and pulled out the ring. It was perfect!









Then we got MARRIED! After a 4 month engagement, we finished our winter semester of school, raced down to St. George on the 24th, and were married in the St. George Temple on April 25th 2008 at 10:40am. It could not have been a more perfect day! The weather was gorgeous, everything flowed smoothly, and we loved every minute of it!

Our most recent additions to our family. Our awesome scooter and our cute little hamster. We figure we better start off with small responsibilities before we jump into something big! These both joined our family last summer and we've been certainly enjoying them.This is Jesse's hair after a scooter ride! So funny! He's still pretty dang cute though!


Not much really happened between the start of school and Christmas, so I'll just jump to there!
We decided to start our Christmas season off right with a trip to Temple Square. So beautiful!


And this is what happened the first day we got to St. George for Christmas! Wisdom Teeth Extravaganza! And lucky me.. only HALF my face swelled into something ugly...

Ok we're up to speed now! (More or less!) This was us over New Years. We had some cousins go swimming and we were the noble few who went ice skating! It was a blast!

Random Discovery!

Ok I made a discovery yesterday that I thought was blog worthy. We were cleaning our apartment and I realized that if I plug the vacuum in a particular plug in our bedroom, it can reach our entire apartment! How bout that for nifty! I can vacuum my entire house without unplugging the vacuum! Awesome!

In today's world (June 14, 2012) after working very hard and climbing our way up the ladder of success we're currently living in a wonderful apartment in Irving, TX where we... can still vacuum everything from one plug. Stay in school, kids. Forever.

Also I learned how to play 4 chords on Jesse's ukulele today! I know G, D, F, and C. Which means I can play "I'm a Believer"! But to fully appreciate how I play it, it goes something like this: Jesse shouts out the chords, I take a few seconds to place my hand accordingly, then Jesse tries to sing the corresponding line as I try to strum. To say the least it's pretty entertaining, slow, and hard to get everything happening at the same time but it sure is fun!

After years of practice on my ukulele, instead of G, D, F, and C, Danielle now knows G and C. See Matthew 25:14-30. NEW TESTAMENT BURN!

Christmas Break and Back to School

Well school has begun again so we're back in the swing of things. Christmas break was amazing and it was hard to come back, but you do what you've got to do. We spent the 19th til the day after Christmas down in St. George with my family which got started off with a bang as I got my wisdom teeth out as soon as we got down there! But we had a blast! Then we made the journey back up to Provo to play with Jesse's family where we were privileged to spend time with two of Jesse's sisters and their families who have recently moved back to Utah from being all around the world so that was great. Then we popped up to Salt Lake for New Year's to spend with my extended family. What a great break!

Now we're super busy with school and work and everything else but we do manage to see one another on occasion! :) Life is so great right now. We're loving being married and can't believe it's already been 8 months! I'm hoping to be ambitious one of these days and post a bit of a review of the last year and a half of our lives together so hopefully I'll have some pictures up soon to describe how great things have been since we met!
