Cancun

Back in June my family went to Cancun in honor of our three graduates (K&K from High School and Brad from BYU).
By the way, this was no small task with a brand new baby. Because we were going out of the country, we had to get Baby A a passport. The instant I saw that her birth certificate was ready, I called the Social Security office to see if she had a number, which she had just been assigned! So she and I picked up her birth certificate and the next day Jesse got her SS number and then we took our 11 day old peanut to the passport office. We had to hold her up against the wall and try to keep our hands out of the picture, but then she started to cover up her face with her hands so then one of us was holding her and the other was trying to hold her hands down, and of course she was super floppy so her head was all over the place. It was hilarious, but at least we got it done. The lady at the office told us it would take 2-3 weeks to arrive (which the 3 week mark was the day before we were scheduled to leave) and she chuckled over her height being 1 foot 8 inches. I could hardly believe our itty bitty babe had a passport, but it was great so we could all be together in Mexico!

{Apparently I didn't end up with a picture of all of us, so this is all of us minus my dad.}

We played sand volleyball

We played in the ocean.
{As a side note, since I was only about 5 weeks post partum, I wasn't supposed to get in any pools or the ocean for another week, so thank goodness for an awesome family who played with the boys in the ocean and pool the whole week while I couldn't}

We ooo'd and awww'd over the baby.

We went to Tulum and looked at the ruins and the iguanas.

As we were getting ready Jesse told me that he had packed all this favorite shirts which all happened to be grey and he had grey shorts. He said he couldn't wear those because he didn't want the ruins to seem in him grey on grey. I'm thinking he didn't want us to forget him if he blended in so well with all the ruins.
He settled on this shirt so we had some contrast.

This crazy animal was roaming around while we waited in line for Tulum and everyone thought he was all cute until he bit a little boy. After that all of us who had seen it stayed as far away from him as possible.

The boys played so hard every day that if we slowed down they would crash.

We had some amazing horchata and tacos at a little shop on the street. Of course I didn't get pictures of either of those things, but trust me, we were talking about them for days.

Apparently cheesy hot dog tacos are a thing? I had no idea.

We played at the pool.

We hung out on the beach.

We even had a mini photo shoot with baby girl in her darling swimsuit.

We spent more time at the pool.
We spent the first couple of days at the ocean but once we took the boys to the pool they didn't even care to go back to the ocean. Their preference was the pool.

I had the cutest pool side buddy.

We did some relaxing and played games.

We drove down to a different little beach for some snorkeling and playing. It was essentially waveless which was great for snorkeling and the boys loved playing in it!

We dipped Alba's toes in the water. We figured if she traveled all the way to Mexico, girlfriend needed to get those toes wet.

 And those Cancun sunrises and sunsets are so gorgeous.

We felt like a bit of a circus traveling with our not so little crew and all our stuff. It was a good discovery though that our baby carrier had a "tail" that the boys could hold on to while we cruised through the airports.

On our layover on the way home we had to get some wiggles out. Fortunately there was some empty space the boys could run around in.

Briggs even had to be carried off by the flight attendant.

We had a wonderful trip.
Thanks to the graduates for being awesome and letting us celebrate!
